09.04.98, Rosemead/L.D.S. is back!



#Syphic, #TheFeds, #LDS, #BottomLine, and #TheRevenants at a #Rosemead gig in ’98. It was over by Jim’s on San Gabriel. I used to like their steak and eggs breakfast.⁣⁣

My band, L.D.S. has been hitting the rehearsal studios regularly for the last few months. We relearned some old songs, wrote a couple of new ones, and now we’re ready to fuck some shit up at a bar, backyard, club or wherever. Please DM if anyone has shows we can get on. Thanks! That’s some of one of our songs, “Breaking up Inside.” Hear the whole thing on the blog — nosnappers.blogspot.com. We a played at Old Town Pub about a year ago, sounded alright, and didn’t embarrass ourselves. ⁣⁣

Anyway, #BottomLine were @thelifeofraomero and Richard Tran’s band after Dubmbstruck. They allegedly recorded a demo, but I never heard it. The Revenants were Johanna on vocals and I forget who else. I think they were a horror punk band. @alex_1138 got his homie Jerry to have this gig at his pad and another one the following weekend.⁣⁣

3 SGV Bands Playing "Code Blue"


I made a grid thing on the IG. All of the videos are in this long post. I shot the TSOL video at the bottom but didn't post the full thing on YouTube, so a minute is all you get. Sorry.

#TheDictions on 10.24.04 at a gig in #LaPuente playing #CodeBlue by #TSOL. It’s another video from #BigRobFR of @FatalRiot’s YouTube channel.⁣




@powerdrummer of @bruisedgender and @litmusgreen is also in @tsol_official, which means they can be claimed as an #SGV band. He was also in #TheJawaz and I didn’t find out until a couple months ago that he was the same Tony “Hardcore” Chingas that played in #TheFeds and was on some of the demo I wore out back in the day.⁣

I shot this almost a year ago when they played all of Dance with Me and the first EP at @regenttheaterla. Who else is going to see them there with Youth Brigade and Go Betty go on Friday?⁣

The Jawas, 04.26.97, Rosemead



#TheJawas at Richard’s pad on Redding St. in #Rosemead. This is the from the same video that @syphic put on YouTube a few years ago. The one with #Syphic from an earlier post. That’s @b_von_wolfe on vocals, Stevie G on guitar, Duke on bass, and motherfucking @carloshamma434 on drums. They later became #TheJawaz.⁣

The flyer for the gig was sent in by @syphic_sgv.⁣ According to @dandrews319’s records, #teenagerage and #creepshow didn’t play and The Munsters got added.
