#TheJawas at Richard’s pad on Redding St. in #Rosemead. This is the from the same video that @syphic put on YouTube a few years ago. The one with #Syphic from an earlier post. That’s @b_von_wolfe on vocals, Stevie G on guitar, Duke on bass, and motherfucking @carloshamma434 on drums. They later became #TheJawaz.⁣
⁣
The flyer for the gig was sent in by @syphic_sgv.⁣ According to @dandrews319’s records, #teenagerage and #creepshow didn’t play and The Munsters got added.

00:11⁣⁣⁣ — boom!

@carloshamma is the only guy I ever knew from #Creepshow (I’m pretty sure that’s him off camera behind the kit), so I’m having a hard time coming up with the rest of their names. Ol’ Charles is going to be popping up in a lot of these posts. That dude got around! Anyway, the bassist rode in the bed of Whitey’s pickup on the way to San Bernardino for a Subhumans reunion show in ’99. I think his names is Brian. The singer, Eric (maybe Sean? I get a “Sean vibe” from him), was the first guy I ever met with a neck tattoo. It’s an eyeball with veins trailing at the end and it may or may not be on fire. I don’t know how I can remember stuff like that, but not the names of guys in a band that my band played with a lot back then. ⁣⁣⁣ EDIT: Gerald/@syphic_sgv clarified the line up for me. It’s Brian on guitar, Pat on bass, and Eric Slime on vocals. Thanks, dude! I should have asked before posting this.

Backyard Shenanigans Compilation CD, '97

2 nights ago Gerald/@syphic_sgv sent me a crazy amount of pics of flyers given to him by Blue/@ogblue. Among the gig flyers was this flyer for Backyard Shenanigans, a compilation CD that #ShennanigansProductions released in late ‘97, I think. It featured tracks by SGV’s #TheJawas (years later they became  #TheJawaz), #CreepShow #StaringProblem,#Tongue (another flyer said they were from Hollywood, but their 7” has a Pasadena P.O. box address), a lot more bands from the area that weren’t on the flyer, and a bunch of bands from other parts of Southern California. @magmatized78 has been in #NakedAggression for a long time, which kind of makes them an SGV band too.

Does anyone still have this CD? If so, can I get some MP3s, please?
