@genocide_express ,ex-#ShitBlasters, sent in this dope flyer he drew for an ’05 #BaldwinPark gig thrown in honor of Johnny from #TheQuifingKunts with those bands, #Skintags, #LosVatos, and #TimmyCumstianandtheTeenChallenge. Timmy Cumstain and The Teen Challenge might be my favorite band name ever. I was able to download about 1 1/2 Los Vatos tracks from a blog @javi_theebarber put up a few years ago. Unfortunately, most of those links from back then no longer work. Playing is some of their song “I Hate the Rules.”⁣⁣

#Syphic, #TheFeds, #LDS, #BottomLine, and #TheRevenants at a #Rosemead gig in ’98. It was over by Jim’s on San Gabriel. I used to like their steak and eggs breakfast.⁣⁣

My band, L.D.S. has been hitting the rehearsal studios regularly for the last few months. We relearned some old songs, wrote a couple of new ones, and now we’re ready to fuck some shit up at a bar, backyard, club or wherever. Please DM if anyone has shows we can get on. Thanks! Anyway, #BottomLine were @thelifeofraomero and Richard Tran’s band after Dubmbstruck. They allegedly recorded a demo, but I never heard it. The Revenants were Johanna on vocals and I forget who else. I think they were a horror punk band. @alex_1138 got his homie Jerry to have this gig at his pad and another one the following weekend.⁣⁣

2 One Down Songs/02.21.97, iBrowse Coffee, Alhambra

@poptarte.makeupart sent in this flyer for a ’97 #Dumbstruck and #OneDown gig at iBrowse Coffee on Main St. in #Alhambra, where many local bands played in the late ‘90s. Dumbstruck was 
@thelifeofromero on guitar and vocals, Richard Tran on guitar, a guy named Ricky on bass, and who was definitely not Carlos on drums. Two members would go on to form another band that’ll be showing up here soon. One Down was Josh Flippin on guitar and vocals, @omarcrafted on guitar, Pigboy on bass, and Jeremy Conrad on drums. 

I used to have MP3s of their demo, but they were on a computer that got wiped. Fortunately, I had put two of their songs on the blog's old Soundcloud.

3 years ago I found this poster drawn by @elizabethhcgrathart at the PCC Flea Market for one of her band Tongue’s show back in ’97 or ’98. I need to pull it out of the tube that it’s in and finally get in in a frame. A little while ago I wanted to listen to their stuff so I went to tongue666.bandcamp.com and downloaded both of their album. Listen to some of “Above your Laws” from their first album Faulty Parts and then go pay what you want for their music. I’m still not 100% sure if any of the members were from the #SGV, but their first 7” has a #PasadenaP.O. Box address on it and they used to play with a bunch of El Monte bands like Syphic, A.F.U. and P.F.R. That’s good enough for me.⁣
