A few years ago an article on SGV gig flyers from KCET’s website was being shared around Facebook. It’s a great read with links to other articles about El Monte punk rock. Take a look.

East L.A.’s #TeenageRage played a lot of SGV gigs when they were active in the mid-to-late ‘90s and the first band I was aware of that had their shit together enough to make t-shirts. There’ll be more #ThretningVerse and #TheFeds stuff coming soon since they, like #Syphic, were prominent bands in the scene and were all over flyers. Thretning Verse outlasted the other bands on the flyer by about 5 or 6 years and went on to be well known outside of the SGV.
